Tati, the Artsy

I <3 watercolor! Actually I think everybody does… Don’t you?
Yes, that’s a very beautiful technique. The way that the wet paint touches the paper and how we can mix the colors, creating lights and shadows… it’s amazing!
Anyway, those sketches are from my special sketchbook, made of some old thick papers I had (they’re even a little stinky). I want to try some paintings with watercolors… I’ve got new papers and a kit of watercolors tube paints. But first, I am doodling and playing with my paint set and this cool sketchbook. Well… What do you think? Am I doing good?

2 months… Believe me… It took 2 months, since january, to be finished! Can you believe that?

Well, I had a very busy time. Art isn’t my full time job, paintings are made in my free times. I’ve got some illustrations commissions to do and, you know, I’m also a housewife. But I am learning how to organize my time and spend some days finishing an artwork.

Anyway… It’s entitled Rose and measures 30 x 40 x 1.5 cm (aprox. 11.8 x 15.7 x 0.5 inches)! I’m very proud of this one! As I told you, I made it a little more “freely”. But even so, I did a lot of detailed lines. And it’s a bit larger than the other paintings I’ve done… almost an A3.

This baby can be yours, if you want. Just contact me!

Hello, there!
Stopping to share the canvas I am working on (actually I started it weeks ago… or a month ago…). Its name is Rose. Sorry for the crappy quality of this pic, I took it with my iPhone (yeah, I got myself an iPhone!).
Well (did you notice that I say “well” very often?), it’s almost done, but I think it needs something. So, I’m here asking your opinion… What do you think?
I don’t know… Maybe work more in those roses? By the way… Can you see they are roses? XD
Or… Should I paint a balloon (like this one in my Tooongue painting) at woman’s left side? I really think I need to put something there, but in other hand, I believe that if I put something there, it would “pollute” the illustration.
So, can you give me a hand, pleeease? I’d appreciate. :D
Hugs! \o/

Have you heard about the Hidden Eloise vs Paperchase case? Well, if you haven’t, take a look at this link. It’s all about people stealing artist’s drawings or illustrations on internet. I hate when it happens, I get angry easily, and it’s a very uncomfortable situation, because I really fight for my rights – the only thing I have!

I share my doodles, artworks… I don’t put watermark, etc. So I trust you!

Answering the big question, “May I use your drawings?”: well… you can save them and use as wallpaper or show to your mom, post in your blog/site for divulgation… But, please, never rename the files (filename_tatimaia), nor even claim yourself the author of them! Oh, and you can’t use them in your design, change them, retrace them, etc, etc, etc.

People think that all images they find on Google are free for use. That’s not the truth! Always ask the author’s permission (or buy a custom artwork – it’s much better have something specially made for you… by the way… I do commissions too! XD).

When you look for images, search on Stock Images websites. There’re free images, and also paid ones… And those are very cheap, like $1 or $10.

I hope I am helping. If you have more doubts (or discovered someone using my art), don’t hesitate to comment or message me. :D

Edit: I missed the SketchCrawl yesterday. So, at least I am posting some doodles. The guy singing Fly Me To The Moon is my husband, Fernando.

Hello, I’m Tati, and that’s my Crazy Radio!
Oh… Okay, this isn’t a radio nor podcast. This is text. I know…
Anyway, from now on, I am publishing some quick posts, sharing some things I like, thoughts, etc. You know… the same I did on Twitter, but more classy! I LOVE SHARING! Of course I’ll keep posting my sketches, illustrations and drawings as usual. Oh, can you see Qua-Quack Duck at left side? Yeah, I’m sharing my mood too.
All right… Take a look at my crazy playlist below and be sure that I have a very bad taste for music! XD

I need to blog more… I need to blog more… I need to blog more… I need to blog more… I need to blog more… I need to blog more… I need to blog more… I need to blog more… I need to blog more…

New painting! Hooray!
This is Musik, another tiny-painting. I think it’s perfect for girls’ bedroom or to hang in a wall with more frames and paintings. It’s 22 x 14 x 1.3 cm (aprox. 8.6 x 5.5 x 0.5 inches)!

If you’re interested, let me know. :)

I used to draw manga when I was a teenager… I have been wondering if I can do it again. So, I tried to do something in my sketchbook with ballpoint pen and watercolor.
Well, I think so.

Nothing special… Just to keep this blog updated. I’m here, in my studio/home, with my husband and dog, listening to Bossa Nova. Well, that’s the tiny-painting I’m working on. I took this picture yesterday, but I just finished it. Soon (this week, I hope) it will be available in my shop. Since I got my easel, I’m feeling like a real artist. Oh, the painting behind is the next one I’ll work on. And, below, my sketchbook which I always doodle using the remaining paints – yeah, I mix too much paint on the palette!

Okay, a little less artistic thing: this is something that I love to do in my kitchen, we call it “Brigadeirão de Microondas”. It’s like a chocolate pudding-cake made on microwave. DE-LI-CI-OUS! I made it last week, and I’m going to make it again. Nhummy! You know what? I GAVE UP of diet!

19th January was Dexter‘s birthday, and unfortunately I didn’t have time to post about that. Yes, my little dog is 1 year old already, can you believe? He’s now an adolescent! Really! Well, one dog’s year, as I know, is something like 15 human years. But, I don’t care: he’s always my baby!

Then, I am posting some doodles of him that I did in my sketchbook. Drawing him and his toys is very cool. My house is a mess, a lot of toys scattered on the floor and I gave up of trying to organize them!

The weather here is very, very hot! I am not kidding!!! So, my husband and I decided to cut his fur. I know he’s a Shih Tzu, and has to have the Shih Tzu’s style… But, he’s feeling great, agile, running and jumping here and there! Even without all that fur, he’s still cute, looking like a large dog puppy. This picture above I took when he arrived from the Pet Shop. 4 days after (today), his fur is growing back a little and Dexter is looking prettier!
Dogs are so lovely! If you have a dog too, you can speak about your best friend on comments.
